Ryan is one of Anguilla’s busiest poets and the edition of Where I See The Sun published by HNP last May is one of the region’s newest anthology of poems, said Sample.
Ryan recited his poems, exhibited copies of Where I See The Sun, and showcased his fashion designs as a member of Anguilla’s official delegation to CARIFESTA XII, August 21-30, said Sample.
CARIFESTA is the largest festival of the arts and culture of Caribbean peoples.
Each of the 22 countries and territories that took part this year showcased its nation’s excellence in painting, plastic arts, literature, drama, music, song, dance, and fashion design among other creative areas.
“There were also parades in national dress, large music concerts, and panel discussions on topics such as Reparations by leading artists and intellectuals from the region,” said Sample.
CARIFESTA XIII will be hosted by Barbados.
