Two suspect arrested I armed robbery
The Special Robbery Unit is presently investigating an armed robbery which took place on Thursday September 1st around 10.30 a.m. at Fu Yuan Supermarket. The two robbers stormed the supermarket threatening the female cashier with a machete. Both suspects were wearing dark clothing and their faces covered. The suspects stole an undisclosed amount from the cash register along with some other items and fled the scene on foot.
The investigation done by the Special Robbery Unit led them to identify and arrest two suspects the following day. The suspects are identified as O.C.V. (20) and J.O.M. (20) and are presently in custody for further investigation.
Suspect arrested
On Thursday September 1st police arrested a man with initials J.L. at the home of his girlfriend for threat and the possession of a firearm. The arrest was made after the Emergency Dispatch received several calls from the victim of her being threatened by her boyfriend. A search of the house was done and the firearm found and confiscated. The suspect was taken to the Philipsburg police station and remains in custody for further investigation.
Suspect arrested for firearm and drugs possession
On Saturday September 3rd at approximately 05.15 a.m. police were sent to Archimedes road to investigate a case of threat. On the scene the investigating officers encountered two men who were involved in a fight. One of the men had a flair gun in his hand which was immediately taken away and confiscated. After intervening in the situation the officers realized that it was a domestic situation which got out of hand. During the investigation a considerable amount of drugs were found and also confiscated. Both suspects with initials H.L.A. (44) and S.E.W. (22) were arrested and taken to the Philipsburg Police Station. After questioning the suspect H.L.A was released and S.E.W. remained in custody for further investigation.
Armed robbery
The Special Robbery Unit is presently investigating an armed robbery which took place on Monday September 5th at approximately 10.45 a.m. at DIVINITII Jewelers on Front Street. This is when an unknown mask man entered the establishment and jumped over the counter. While behind the counter he stole a considerable amount of gold jewelry. He threatened to use a firearm he had in his possession. After committing this act the suspect fled on foot.
