1st annual “Air Guitar” results…lol!

Dave (Mr. Skin) and Jeff (Sock) Socherin organized the 1st annual “Air Guitar” context last night at Prive, located in Simpson Bay. 6 contestants were judged by 3 local judges – Christina de la Cruz of “Destination Magazine”, Alissa of Bikini Beach, and Jimbo of “Jimbo’s”. The contestants were judged on 3 categories: costume, performance, and applause and “Aired” 2 songs. What a good time was had by all….some had played a real guitar before and knew rock and roll music, while others had never played any instrument and knew nothing of the music they were “playing”, but it was all good fun and the judges got into the act….seemed like the guys had a better chance if they were cute (with the female judges ;-)) and Jimbo was the night’s Simon Cowell, tossing in some wit from time to time, as well as the women judges. A gentleman nmed Jeff, from St. Louis, Misourri took 1st place, while Tim the sign maker came in 2nd and Angela (hailing from Domincan Republic, but living here and working for Hertz) came in a strong 3rd. Now that they’ve got their feet wet, Mr. Skin is sure that “next year’s turnout will be much better”, but all in all everyone was pleased and a good time was had by all.
