L’ouragan Igor se dirige vers les Bermudes

L’ouragan Igor, en passe d’être classé dans la catégorie 3 (sur 5) sur l’échelle de Saffir-Simpson, se dirige samedi vers l’archipel des Bermudes qu’il devrait traverser dimanche.

“Igor sera un ouragan puissant et dangereux quand il s’approchera dimanche des Bermudes“, a déclaré le centre national des ouragans de Miami.

Le service météorologique local a déclaré que l’archipel serait balayé pendant 37 heures par des vents violents à partir de dimanche. Igor devrait passer à moins de 30 km des côtes.

People living in or soon traveling to the island should pay close attention to this formidable storm and be ready to take appropriate action.

Through the end of the week, Igor will remain a powerful hurricane over the open waters of the Atlantic, passing well north of the Leeward Islands but still bringing increased waves and swells to the region.
