POLICE REPORT : Police seek public assistance to solve criminal case
On the night of Sunday April 8th on Monday April 9th (Easter) around 02.00 o’clock a man was seriously beaten in the “Drive Thru” of Mc Donalds restaurant on the Airport Boulevard in Simpson Bay. The victim suffered a life-threatening beating, and his life is still in danger.
On the same night there was a performance given by a band from the Island of Dominica at the Soggy Dollar bar, which is in the immediate vicinity of where this unfortunate incident took place.
The victim, Mr. Marcus W., also attended that concert. Marcus W. went to the concert with friends and played pool in the bar. Marcus W. left the Soggy Dollar and went in the direction of Mc Donalds restaurant where the incident took place.
The victim was attacked cowardly and beaten with an object by three young men, approximately 18 years old. There are no clues which indicate the reason for this senseless criminal act.
The investigation is still on-going and progressing slowly, nevertheless the Detective Department is encouraging the public who may have any info that might lead to the apprehension of the culprits, to contact the investigating detectives at the police station in Philipsburg.
