Stabbing incident, victim dies
KPSM, Philipsburg, May 28th 2012 – On Saturday, May 26th several police patrols, ambulance department and detective department were sent to Pendant Cactus drive in Sucker garden for a stabbing incident.
On the scene the victim with the initials E.W. 52 years old from Jamaica was treated on the scene by paramedics and then transported to the Sint Maarten Medical Center for further treatment. However the victim died shortly after, at the hospital, as a result of stab wounds he had sustained. The scene was closed off for the Forensic department to carry out their investigation. The suspect in this case with the initials O.A. McK. also from Jamaica turned himself into the police department later that evening. The suspect admitted to have been in a fight with the victim regarding the relationship between the victim and female T.P.E. also from Jamaica. The suspect remains in custody pending further investigation.
