The foundation headed by President Stuart Johnson discussed several discussion points and projects which will promote USM.
Johnson said, “our first meeting primarily focused on the structure and membership of the foundation. We need to tap into our alumni membership base of over six hundred former students and embrace their professional experiences gained since successfully completing USM.”
Johnson also announced that the Foundation recently launched its Facebook page which will promote the activities of the foundation and serve as a communication link for its members. “We live in the modern age of technology and we surely will be utilizing this medium to inform our membership of our activities.”
Johnson is encouraging all former students of USM to embrace the Alumni Foundation and pledge their support towards USM. “We need to believe in USM, not only by the words we speak, but by the actions we display. The time to make education as truly priority number one has arrived. ” Johnson concluded.
