Armed robbery
A police patrol was sent to Beacon Hill road on October 11th at approximately 05.30 a.m. to investigate an armed robbery.
On the scene the investigating officers encountered the 30 year old male victim, who stated that hen was attacked by three unknown men one of which had a fire arm and the other a knife.
During the attack he was immediately thrown to the ground, threatened with the gun and the knife, and his bag with content taken from him.
After committing this act the robbers took off in a unknown vehicle.
Large fire.
On Sunday October 13th at approximately 12.45 a.m. several police patrols, fire department and paramedics were directed to Wesley Lane in Cole Bay where a large fire had broken out involving several homes.
Police and fire department had to evacuate several persons living in the area. The cause of the fire is still unclear and is under investigation.
Damage to many homes is quite severe. No injuries or loss of life has been reported.
