Sint Maarten. Dr Martin Luther King Jr. School will be closed tomorrow due to the lack of water
Parents of pupils attending the Dr. Martin Luther King School in Dutch Quarter are hereby notified there will be no school in session at that location tomorrow, January 14, 2014.
The cause of this results from the fact that there is no running water at that location which would result in an unhygienic condition that that is not conducive to learning.
It is expected that with the assistance of the Utility Company, GEBE, water will be at the facility on Wednesday January 15, 2014 making it possible for school to be in session.
The Ministry of Education, Culture, Youth and Sports regrets the inconvenience caused by this unfortunate decision.
Busses transporting pupils to the Dr. Martin Luther King School in Dutch Quarter are kindly asked to pay heed to given the notice.
