Sint Maarten. Dutch marines meet with Sint Maarten Police Force
On Tuesday, February 4th, representatives of the Dutch Marines who are permanently stationend on Sint Maarten met with representatives of the Sint Maarten Police Force.
The Dutch Marines was represented by Major Patrick Wokke and assisted by Sergeant-Major Martin Mulder.
The Sint Maarten Police Force was represented by Acting Chief of Police Commissioner Carl John assisted my Inspectors Benjamin Gout, Rudolph Bloeiman, Michael Petronilia and Ricardo Henson.
The meeting was to exchange information on how to structure a good working relation between both organizations.
During the meeting an extensive presentation given by major Wokke outlining the rotation of well trained marines to the island, the equipment that they have at their disposal and the possibilities of both organizations conducting certain training-programs together.
Commissioner Carl John then gave a presentation of the structure of the organization, the direction the organization is heading and the complete willingness to form a good working relationship.
The entire meeting was quite successful and informative and a follow-up meeting is scheduled for the near future.
