The report also stated that the situation between parties involved in the accident was getting out of hand and might break out into fight and that a fire arm might be involved.
On the scene the patrol spoke to a witness to the accident who stated the motorcyclist fell to ground during the collision at which time a pistol fell from him. He picked up the pistol and handed it to another man who took the fire-arm to a nearby business and hid it.
This suspect (22) with initials T.M. was approached by the investigating officers and questioned in connection with the fire-arm. The suspect immediately confessed to the officers that he had hidden the weapon on the request of the motorcyclist (46) with initials G.H. He immediately showed the officers where the weapon was hidden.
The unlicensed pistol, a 9 millimeter Baretta, which was fully loaded, was confiscated for further investigation. Both suspects were arrested on the scene and taken to the Police Headquarter in Philipsburg where they remain in custody for further investigation.
