Sint Maarten – Two arrested for theft

Two male suspects with the initials M.D. (18) and J.L.M. (16) were arrested on Friday September 26^th after a short foot chase by police in the Cole bay/Cape Bay area.

A report came into the Central Police Dispatch that a supermarket on the Wellington road had just been robbed and that the suspects had fled on foot in the direction of Cape bay. The police immediately started to search for the suspects and spotted them in the area of Tropicana Casino.

They took-off running but were caught shortly after. The suspects had stolen several bottles of Hennesy Cognac from the supermarket. The suspects were taken to the Philipsburg Police station for questioning.
