Sint Maarten : Traffic accident

On Tuesday February 3rd at approximately 07.25 a.m. police patrols and Traffic department were directed to the parking lot of “Sol Shop” on the corner of Bush road and Zagersgut road to investigate a traffic accident whereby a pedestrian was struck by a car.

On the scene the investigating officers spoke to the 15 year female victim who stated that while she was walking on the parking lot the female drive of a private car accidentally drove over her right foot.

The victim was complaining from a little pain in her foot. The driver of the car stated that she did not see the victim while walking over the parking lot because she was blinded by the rising sun. The victim was treated on the scene by paramedics and then released. The victim stated that she would go to her house doctor on the French side.
