Sint Maarten

On Saturday February 21st at approximately 04.55 p.m. police patrols and Police traffic department were sent to Oyster Pond road to a traffic accident involving a scooter rider who was seriously injured.

On the scene the investigating officers encountered the 37 year old victim. The victim who was suffering from possible fractures to his shoulders, left leg and spine was treated on the scene by paramedics and then transported to the Sint Maarten Medical Center for further treatment.

According to the investigating traffic officer the victim for unknown reasons lost control of his vehicle and collided with the rock wall on the side of the road. The victim after being treated at the hospital was admitted in serious condition.

The investigation is still ongoing.
