Suspect arrested for stealing cell-phone
The Police Bike patrol on Monday August 20th at approximately 11.10 a.m. arrested a man identified with initials K.M.J.D. for the theft of a cellular telephone. The incident happened at a popular electronics store located on Front Street. According to the reports the suspect went into the store and picked up the cellular phone belonging to one of the employees and ran out of the store. The suspect was chased by several employees of the store and was caught shortly after. In the meanwhile the bike patrol was notified of the incident and arrived immediately after to arrest the suspect. The suspect was taken to the police head quarters in Philipsburg where he remains in custody for further investigation. The cellular phone was returned to the owner. (See pic attached)
Detectives requesting assistance from community
In connection with the ongoing criminal investigation which took place on Monday August 6th 2018 in the Sint Peters area known as “Haitian lane” during which the victim identified with initials J.R.C. was found shot to death in his car, the investigating team of KPSM is informing the public that the investigation is ongoing, nevertheless the team is still looking for witnesses who may have seen or heard anything that could shed more light on the investigation.
