Sint Maarten : Wreath laying at Port in Remembrance of the late Dr. A. C. Wathey

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the St. Maarten Harbour Group of Companies Mark Mingo and Hector Peters, General and Governmental Affairs, on Wednesday, July 24 placed a wreath in the presence of some of the harbour staff at the statue of Dr. A.C. “Claude” Wathey in observance of his 87^th birthday. 

Dr. Wathey is considered the Father of modern day St. Maarten.  

The Port of St. Maarten was named the Dr. A.C. Wathey Cruise and Cargo Facility in his honour to recognize his contribution to national development.
