Saint-Martin. First Community Garden opens on Saturday
On Saturday, January 25th 2014 the gates of the Lowlands Community Garden will be opening for the very first Open Day of the very first Community Garden on St. Martin.
The Lowlands Community Garden is an exciting new initiative being set up to provide delicious, local, sustainably-grown produce to the communities of Saint Martin and Sint Maarten.
All of our fresh produce will be grown using the latest aquaponics technology, which means that in addition to vegetables, we will also be selling organic freshwater fish and eventually, langoustine.
Our produce will be GMO-FREE and FRESH!
Entry is FREE
Come along and see how much we’ve achieved with your valuable support in just 6 months.
See the first of the aquaponics systems in action. Meet the management team and the volunteers who’ve made it all happen.
There will be organic fruit and plants for sale so remember to bring your shopping bags.
Volunteer Opportunities
We’re working hard to make the Lowlands Community Garden the great success that you want it to be but we couldn’t do any of this without the help and support of our wonderful volunteers or CSA members.
This weekend we’ll be on site from 10am on Saturday and Sunday so if you’d like to volunteer to help us get ready for our Open Day please email Will at volunteer@lowlandscommunitygarden.com. If weekdays suit you better just let Will know. There’s plenty to do and we’d love to see you.
